By: Kiana:)

The purpose of the Respiratory system is breathing. If we couldn't breathe we would not live. The responsibility of this system is getting air from the Atmosphere to lungs. The air is conditioned and clean when it gets to the lungs. It transfers the oxygen the cells and also the cells remove CO2 so it can be exhaled. This process is called Respiration.

The organs in the Respiratory system are the lungs, Trachea, Bronchi and Diaphragm. The oxygen starts in the nose, it goes through the Pharynx, Larynx, Trachea, Bronchi and it also covers lots of the Alveoli. The lungs are the main part of the system. You’re Trachea is formed of many different structure and it conditions the air in to a warm, moist and clean air. The Pharynx is a 5-6 inch tube. It’s shared by our respiratory and digestive system, which is how we can breathe through our mouth.
